General Conditions

Last amended on 15 December 2009. All older versions are therefore null and void. All FAQ’s and Policies remain fully in force and apply supplementary to these General Conditions. In those cases where a FAQ or Policy conflicts with these General Conditions, these General Conditions shall prevail.

1. General
a. VOLUNTEERS WEBSITE OF PRA INTERNATIONAL (including all sub-sites and sister sites and sections of such) is a free service of PRA International, hereinafter called ‘PRA’. The use of MyPRA is open and free to anyone, on the condition they have not been denied access to PRA. The user, hereinafter called the ‘User’ or ‘volunteer’, declares that when using MyPRA they explicitly agree to all the terms and conditions in this document.
b. The user must at all times observe the so-called ‘netiquette’: the general rules for decency and polite behaviour on the internet. Furthermore, the user must read - and comply with - the general conditions, the house rules that are set out in the general FAQ's, and where applicable the specific FAQ's about the various sections of the VOLUNTEERS WEBSITE OF PRA INTERNATIONAL. The user is not permitted to behave in such a way that causes nuisance for other users. Violation of this rule can lead to temporary or permanent exclusion from sections of MyPRA or PRA International as a whole.
c. PRA reserves the right at any time to deny a user, without notification of the reasons for such, access to MyPRA – both wholly or partially and temporarily or permanently. Use of the services of PRA at any time during a period of denied access is NOT permitted and is deemed by law to be a criminal offence.
d. No rights can be derived in any way whatsoever from MyPRA and the use of such.

2. Registered users
a. A registered user (volunteer) is a user who has registered a user name (e-mail address) by way of a free registration. These users are also referred to as volunteers. These users have a free MyPRA account.
b. The user must handle the account made available to him/her carefully, and shall be responsible for misuse by third parties of his/her account, unless there is a case of gross negligence on the part of PRA International.
d. The user can be legally prosecuted if he/she attempts to gain unauthorised access to secure sections of MyPRA or its services and/or systems, or as a volunteer sabotages PRA International through defacing, (D)DoS attacks, and other forms of computer crime.
e. The user declares that when their profile was generated they were aged at least 18 or over.

3. Liability
a. A volunteer is both fully and jointly and severally liable for all damages, direct or indirect, and both material and immaterial, that result from the actions or conduct of the user.
b. Although the greatest possible care was observed during the construction of this website, PRA International offers no guarantee whatsoever in relation to the correctness or accuracy of any data, information, software, and other sections of the VOLUNTEERS WEBSITE OF PRA INTERNATIONAL, nor in relation to the suitability of such for any purpose, any situation, or any application. No rights can be derived, for any reason whatsoever, from the data, information, software, and other forms of use or processing of this website.

c. PRA International expressly reserves the right to change, distribute, or remove the layout and/or content of messages, reactions, or any other form of content whatsoever, and to add or remove features and options.’
