PRA is one of the world's largest independent organisations for clinical research on human subjects. Around 450 highly-qualified professionals work at PRA Netherlands, divided between three branches in Groningen, Assen, and Zuidlaren. Specialists in research
The most important specialisation of PRA is research carried out with the help of volunteers for the development of new medicines. A logical consequence of this specialisation is that we also have a great deal of expertise in the examination of blood, urine, and faeces: bio-analysis. This is necessary in order to be able to measure the effectiveness and the safety of the medicines.

Collaboration with university
PRA specialises in clinical research and bio-analysis, and therefore has in-depth knowledge about international laws and regulations in these areas. This makes us an interesting partner for medical faculties. PRA started intensive knowledge exchange with the University Medical Center Groningen in 2001. Furthermore we regularly work together with other hospitals both inside and outside of the Netherlands.
